In the summer of 2012, I rented a studio space so I could get back to creating my own designs.

The concept was to create a collection that incorporated up-cycled materials, adjustable designs that flatter most women,  and limited-run pieces while donating a portion of the proceeds to rescue animals in need. Below is the first collection of Sweet Potato Pepper which debuted in Early Fall 2012. As you scroll through, take note of the easy-to-wear silhouettes, adjustable details such as belts, zippers, or brooches, and the matching accessories, especially the dog collars.  All garments and accessories were draped, patterned, fit, and sewn by myself with the exception of a couple under-layer pieces and jeans. I styled all outfits and photos, accessorizing with the most uniquely amazing jewelry by my talented friend Quoc Lieu (http://quoclieu.com/). Shortly after I finished this collection I was offered the chance to help create the Adam Levine Brand for Kmart which left me with limited time to create my own work. After some time, I was able to revisit Sweet Potato Pepper, which I then turned into a project purposed soley for helping animal rescues.
