In the summer of 2011, my childhood best friend, Arielle, and I launched our brand Morris Hubbard, named after the streets of our youth. We found there was a need to still look cool while mopping the sweat off of your brow on those hot New York summer days, so we created a unique line of sweat rags and schvitzing cloths. Arielle and I tag-teamed on the creative direction. I created the logo, the prints, sourced the fabric and other materials, and constructed the sweat rags. Arielle was in charge of costing, marketing, and logistics. We had a successful run selling our Americana collection at the Brooklyn Flea in Williamsburg as well as on Etsy. While we decided not to continue our pursuit, it was a fun project that we learned a lot from. It's possible, you might see a resurgence this year if the weather gets hot enough.
